SINCE FOREVER

   (translated by Ann Čeh)

I came from elsewhere,

from some other life

to an ancient spring

of living water.

I kneel upon a worn, damp stone

and gaze

into the clear, black depth.

»Who are you I sigh.

A drop of my desire

disturbs the surface smoothness,

a flash reflection of your –

                             my face.

As when reading ancient fairy tales

I murmur, »It can't be possible… It can't be possible…«

And I sense: It is possible.
